Region: Burgundy, France
Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: Great finesse and breed in this wine. The colour, barely golden, is brilliant. On the nose, refined aromas of hawthorn, fresh almond and apricot, evolving towards candied fruit, hazelnut and grilled dried fruit. On the palate, a beautiful structure harmonizing nicely with fresh and velvety sensations. Long aftertaste, especially in the flavours.
Vintage : This vintage produced wines of various styles, some with a rather high acidity level, others offering roundness. The main factor has been the frost. The vines hit by this severe spring frost very often matured later, giving fairly nervous wines, whereas the plots spared by frost reached a more precocious maturity. Many beautiful wines in this multi-faceted vintage.
