Region: Yarra Valley, Australia
Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Bold perfume, strong and feisty, offering stewed cherries, ripe strawberries, exotic Asian spice and lavender. Brambly in the palate with squished ripe forest berry flavours, it’s fleshy, suede-textured and dense but finds crisp edges and a chalky finish. There’s breadth here, suggestive of Mornington’s ampler expressions of pinot, but the squeakiness to close gives a moreish, lip-smacking feel. Fuller figured pinot done well.
