Tasting Notes: Coming from the younger vines in the "Cerrete" vineyard, growing at 1300ft above sea level in Umbria, this is Sagrantino aged one year in tank and two years in large oak barrels. A powerful, big wine, with notes of pipe tobacco, black truffle and intense spice. Lithe, but powerful, a ballet dancing elephant.
