Region: Priorat, Spain
Varietal: Blend of Carinena and Grenache
Tasting Notes: Limpid violet. Expansive aromas of red and dark berry preserves, cola, incense and candied violet; a penetrating, smoky mineral quality adds focus. A core of juicy acidity supports sweet, deep-pitched cherry, blueberry and spicecake flavors that gain weight in the glass. The impressively long, persistent finish features polished tannins that frame lingering blue fruit and floral notes. Pure minerality and rusticity, a tribute to the Priorat of the 50s.
