Tasting Note: Vivid ruby red colour with garnet hints due to the maturation process. Intense, harmonic, sophisticated with wide and complex range of aromas: red berry fruits, blackberry, tobacco, leather, cloves. Full-bodied and balanced acidity with persistent finish. Best enjoyed at 18 to 20 °C after decanting for 1 hour.
Additional information: Carmignano is the smallest DOCG appellation in Tuscany. Riserva wines have to be aged 24 months in oak & 12 months in bottle.
Grand Duke of Tuscany named Carmignano as 1 of the 4 highest quality wine region of Italy in 1716 and Carmignano has been producing 'Super Tuscan' style wines since the 18th century.Â
