Tasting Notes: A real trophy for your cellar if you can find it, the Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Riserva Rabaja (with a tiny production of 1,828 bottles released) is singing loud and clear. Compared to the Riserva from Currà , this Rabajà shows more mineral definition and is sharper and more etched as a result. The bouquet opens gradually to reveal dark fruit, dried plum, spice and licorice root. But those notes of crushed rock or limestone are what pull it all together with such seamless elegance. It's too bad so few bottles exist.
